The flowers resemble the look of fiber optic lights therefore the common name. Fiber Optic Grass is native to Southern Europe, the British Isles, and Northern Africa. This is a plant that will do fantastic near water or in moist soils. It has a clumping growth habit, reaching 10-12″ tall with a 20″ spread at maturity. This is a fantastic grass for mixed containers, giving them movement and interest, especially since it tends to look weedy in the landscape. It can also be grown on a cool ridge.
